| You have a virus that specifically attacks your computer when you try to install security software. Basically you are fucked. I say this because it is probably already into your registry. One thing you could try, when you start up your computer AFTER a blue crash, it will probably prompt you on how to boot into safe mode. DO IT. once in safe mode you should be able to run System Restore. If i were you, i would try and restore to the Initial Startup (i.e. the first time you ever turned your PC on) you will lose all of your files, but you will get your PC back. Either try that, or just take it to a professional and let them reformat your HD and pray to god that the virus hasnt resulted in a bunch of bad sectors on you harddrive which will require hard drive replacement. If you successfully restore back to day one, and you still get a blue screen, your HD has bad sectors, and needs replacing. | |

| You could try it, but im telling you now, the problem isnt with the antivirus, its something that doesnt want you installing the anti virus. Sure, restoring 3 days will probably get rid of the blue screens, but it wont address the reason you are getting the blue screens. | |

| Personaly I think sworn is wrong for once. I have had this exact same problem before and I know i didnt have a virus. First let me ask you..... did you have another antivirus installed? because Avast hates having another AV installed at the same time as it and can cause your pc to get buttf*cked and not start up. MY recommendation is the same as sworn but do not restore. I say boot up in safe mode if possible and then delete the recent things you installed. If you cant then just restore back to 3days. Just do not fully restore its a waist of time and you can fix everything on your own.
I recommend these antiviruses that work great and wont r*pe your pc:
Advanced system care pro
&
Spy Bot search and destroy
If you need advanced systemcare pro just message me | |

| This same exact thing happened to a PC my brother got for his buddy. His buddy was a p*rn freak, looked at p*rn constantly. Once he tried to install an antivirus, he started with the blue screens, but they werent coming after start up, they were coming randomly. By the time my brother brought it to me, the blue screens were all the time, sometimes at startup, sometimes random. I tried to remove the AV, to no avail. Then i tried a restore to right before installation of the AV, to no avail. This is when i started to realize it wasnt the AV, but it was the computer itself. And not to sound like an asshole, but if you try to install something, get blue screens, remove what you consider is the culprit, and the blues go away, you are not "all set". The way a computer works, especially at startup, you should never get blue screens, even if you have 12 AVs installed. A critical error at startup is indicative of a much deeper problem. I'm not saying this is the case in all situations, but more often than not, you get a blue screen at startup, something, somewhere, is fucked up, beyond newly installed software. Blue screens should never happen.. havent you guys ever seen those commercials for MyCleanPC.com?? come on now! | |

| I agree with Traffic, Norton is garbage by itself. I have the Suite Platinum edition, and i have EVERYTHING in it disabled with the exception of Full Scanner, that scans every other day, and I have 3 other programs running, including Search and Destroy (FTW!). One thing i swear by, is Malware Bytes, it rarely misses malicious software, and the engine runs super clean and quick. a good buy. | |

| Spy bot search and destroy is your best bet for now. Then try Malware bytes or Advanced system care pro. (it does wawwaaaayyyy more than just remove viruses) | |

| Nah, just boot into safe mode and remove it using the Add or Remove programs thing. What safe mode is, it only loads the bare essentials, as far as runtimes, and programs, so it wont load the avast stuff, thus allowing you to remove it. | |
