need help with a little bit of stuff.

i want to learn how to make codes using ps2dis. i know the basic functions and commands of mips. i know what thye do and which ones are most used. i just need to learn what do i do in ps2dis in order to use them to make codes. i did check the tuts on youtube but it didnt help. i dumped my ram. i pressed control+G to find my label and i i press space and f3. is thier somthing im doing wrong or are thier extra steps.? help or a nice tut would be nice please.
